  2. I'm a member to PBOC and have read many sad stories. This one is right up there at the top. I truly cannot understand the why or reason people would do something like this. However, for the compassionate people who saved this puppy I can still feel hope. May name is Maxine Wilson Perry. The author of "The Haunting of Dr. Andre C Brass." I've been donating proceeds from my novel to shelters and causes such a s this one. Today Walter will be getting a check. Thanks to the ones who saved Walter. Website: Romancefordoglovers.com.

  4. I just want to let you know that I have a happy ending to a story VERY similar to this one. In 2002 I was visiting a friend and saw a baby pit bull who looked shockingly similar to Walter chained to the house next door to my friend's. I went right up to the owner and demanded he let me take the dog to the vet to be put down (I thought she was too far gone to save) of course when I got to the vet they told me that they really COULD treat everything and that she'd probably be ok, but that it would be very expensive. We were lucky, a drug rep for one of the vet's pharmaceutical companies had seen us come in. When we left she asked the vet what the deal was, the vet told the whole story to the rep and the rep offered to give her the medicine for free. If it hadn't been for that I don't think we would have been able to afford it. I would have tried my hardest though. 7 years later Karma, the beautiful lovable baby is a big fully grown American Pit Bull who lives on a 85 acre farm and couldn't be happier. All her hair grew back, she has no scarring (Walter already looks better than she did when I found her) and she just loves hugs. She weighs in at around 75lbs, her head is HUGE and she thinks she's a lap dog... You're doing a good thing, and you'll be rewarded for it. I just wanted to let you know that he WILL get better, and he will love you more than you can imagine because you saved him.

  5. Alex,
It's been a while buddy! I can't thank you enough for doing something that I've said to myself I'm going to do over and over... but haven't yet done. This measly donation comes from (Lynn's cousin) Claire, Bryan, & Riley!!

  7. It is wonderful what you have done. I was working at an animal hospital when a puppy in a worse condition that Walter came in. He walked out a long time later a healthy 12 week old puppy. I am sure that Walter will have the same result.

I agree on the skipping the ASPCA on the donations. Find some of the small rescue groups that are running on a hope and a prayer.
